Shares jump for joy at a shock policy easing from the Bank of Japan, and oil holds on to hopes of a coordinated Russian-OPEC production cut - even as analysts turn sceptic over whether such cuts will ever happen. Sara Hemrajani reports.

  • EU 'determined to make the Kremlin pay for this further escalation'

    Speaking at a press conference alongside the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, European Commission President, Ursula von der Leyen, reveals a new round of sanctions against Moscow over its latest "escalation" in Ukraine.
