Bogotá / Medellín, Aug 20 (EFE), (Camera: Juan Diego López - Luis Eduardo Noriega).- The coronavirus pandemic has forced many Colombian Olympic athletes to train in the streets since sports training centres remain closed. FOOTAGE OF ATHLETES TRAINING IN THE STREETS OF BOGORÁ AND MEDELLÍN (COLOMBIA).SOUNDBITES OF:-EVELIS AGUILAR, HEPTATHLON ATHLETE:"At the beginning, we accepted it because I had suffered an injury and it helped me a lot to recover from it and have more time to arrive in good condition, to reach a good mark for the Olympic games. At firs,t it was harder because we could only lift weights and strengthening, but when we were able to run in the streets became easier."-MAURICIO HERNÁNDEZ, COACH:"Sometimes, because of the traffic and people in the streets, dogs and people in the parks...it's a bit difficult but we have adapted to it. We always stay alert so we don't suffer an accident and I think we have adapted quite good taking into the conditions we're working under."
