Each of the four generations of the SEAT Leon has been ahead of its time, while maintaining the same DNA throughout its more than 20-year history. Designed, developed and created in Barcelona, they all share the same essence that has made the Leon a pillar of the brand, and with more than 2 million units sold so far, a legend that continues to grow. “This is the model that put SEAT on the world map of motoring, thanks to its design, technology and quality”, says Isidre López, who is responsible for SEAT’s Historic Car collection.

At SEAT, the Tarraco e-HYBRID joins the Leon e-HYBRID in the brand’s electric offensive and for the first time, they are driving together on the streets of Barcelona.SEAT’s plug-in hybrids go one step further in terms of connectivity by including new functions. With the SEAT CONNECT mobile app in the hybrid versions, users can remotely access their vehicle’s data and thus manage the battery charging process and even control and programme its climate control before getting into their car. SEAT CONNECT also provides safety, with automatic emergency calls and a button that relays the car’s data and location in the event of a breakdown.

Since its launch as a stand-alone brand in 2018, CUPRA has developed a complete range of high-performance vehicles, based on contemporary design and sporty performance: CUPRA Ateca, the high-performance SUV, CUPRA Leon – available in both 5-door and Sportstourer variants - and CUPRA Formentor, the first model exclusively developed by the brand, a CUV with benefits of a performance car and with the qualities of an SUV.CUPRA will start its path towards electrification in 2020 with three high performance plug-in hybrid cars: CUPRA Formentor, CUPRA Leon and CUPRA Leon Sportstourer. And in 2021, the brand will launch its first all-electric vehicle: CUPRA el-Born.
“The new SEAT Ateca plays a key role in our new brand strategy. The Ateca is kick-starting the largest product offensive in the history of SEAT.” These were the words of SEAT Executive Committee Chairman Luca de Meo during the launch of SEAT’s first SUV in 2016. Two and a half years later his intentions have been fulfilled and SEAT now has three models in its SUV range, all sharing the same DNA but with their own distinct personality. Today they are on the road together for the first time in the city where they were created.
