Renault's Driverless EZ-GO Concept May Be the Future of Ride-Sharing

Renault revealed its new driverless concept vehicle called the EZ-GO at the Geneva International Motor Show on Tuesday. EZ-GO is a Level 4 driverless vehicle, so it can change lanes, turn at an intersection, and keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front of it. Users will be able to access the EZ-GO from an app or from fixed locations and will enter through a hatch which opens at the front of the vehicle, which also make the auto wheelchair accessible. The EZ-GO can accomodate up to 6 people at a time and features a U-shaped seating arrangement, making the ride a social experience.

'Living Room in Your Car' - Passengers Face Each Other in Renault's Symbioz

Renault revealed their new SYMBIOZ autonomous vehicle at the Frankfurt Motor Show on Tuesday. The front two seats can turn to face the back two during autonomous mode, when the car navigates itself using Renaults 'EASY DRIVE' technology. The finished Symbiozis design will be capable of propelling from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just six seconds and will boast a range of about 310 miles on a single charge as well as an eco-friendly 500 kW fully electric engine.

Fisker Unveils All Electric Tesla Rival at CES 2018

US electric car manufacturer Fisker unveiled its brand new Fisker EMotion electric car at the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas on Tuesday. Luxury car designer Henri Fisker has set the stakes high with the new EMotion as the company prepares to enter a market that has been dominated by Tesla. Fisker EMotion is equipped with the newest ‘solid state’ batteries, promising a range of 400 miles and the option to recharge in less than 10 minutes. The car is expected to be on the market in 2020 with a starting price of $130 thousand.

RedSpace Electric Prototype Car Designed for Driving in Chinese Megacities

A new Chinese car company called Redspace unveiled the innovative REDS prototype model at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show on Wednesday, designed by former BMW Design Chief Chris Bangle. The cubical-shaped car was designed in particular for the gruelling traffic of Chinese megacities, and comes with a 17-inch screen and rotating seats for those bumper to bumper moments.
