Head Cook Aleksander Semygin is preparing a very unusual burger for some very hungry customers. This is no ordinary meat - the Krasnodar Bistro in Moscow is serving up burgers and other meat dishes made from nutria, or river rodent. That's right, customers are lining up to try to unique new delicacy, rat burgers. The nutria was native to South America but was later introduced to the rest of the world and is now raised for its fur. Chefs have only recently begun testing out recipes with nutria meat. The restaurant's meat comes from a full-cycle meat farm in the Krasnodar Region where nutrias are bred, carefully watched and fed with mostly fresh vegetables. The Krasnodar Bistro offers other dishes if rat is not to your taste such as fried dumplings, hot dogs and the traditional Russian dish of golubtsy. bon appetit
