Mercedes-AMG announces the launch of their first of its kind, state of the art technology, MBUX SOUND DRIVE – an industry-first partnership with creative artist, innovator and entrepreneur, will.i.am, to deliver a ground-breaking interactive music experience. The technology uses software that allows the music to react to the way the car is being driven, creating a harmonious relationship between motion and melody. This turns the car into a virtual musical instrument, transforming an already exceptional Mercedes-AMG driving experience into an emotional, musical journey.Utilizing a suite of sensors and advanced software, MBUX SOUND DRIVE interprets various driving dynamics - such as recuperation, acceleration, steering, and braking - and converts them into musical expressions, allowing the driver to ‘compose’ in real-time.
The 1975 appear to be teasing something to do with their alias Drive Like I Do.
2018 was an exceptional and truly momentous year for Lamborghini, full of successes and marked by the introduction of its third model, the Super SUV Urus. This is a vehicle that has opened up a new era for Lamborghini and one that became highly desirable immediately, with orders exceeding even the most optimistic expectations. The Lamborghini Christmas Drive was held to bring a positive and intense year to a fitting end: a 750 kilometer long tour held on 13 and 14 December to test the handling of the Urus and of its predecessor, the LM002, in wintry conditions and on mountain roads that heighten the pleasure of being behind the wheel and the sporty feel of both vehicles. The city of Bruneck has long been a friend of Lamborghini and from where the spectacular Christmas tree in the Sant’ Agata grounds comes: the city welcomed the convoy to the old town center and the Christmas market. The brightly decorated shop windows and Christmas stalls provided a magical backdrop for the cars, with many sporting special displays, and even biscuits baked in the shapes of the two models for the visit. The Lamborghini group was accompanied by the usual bright blue sky and sub-zero temperatures as they made their way to Lake Braies, now completely frozen over and covered in white, a location offering the ideal occasion to try out the vehicles in snowy conditions.
Porsche announced in Bahrain the forthcoming addition of two sporty models to its Panamera range. The new Porsche Panamera GTS and Porsche Panamera GTS Sport Turismo models add new breadth to the lineup for customers seeking a sportier driving experience positioned between the Panamera 4S and Panamera Turbo variants. A four-liter twin-turbo V8 engine generates peak output of 453 horsepower from 6,000 to 6,500 RPM and peak torque of 457 lb.-ft. from 1,800 to 4,500 RPM. As compared to the previous Panamera GTS with a naturally aspirated 4.8-liter V8, the current engine offers an increase of 13 horsepower and an additional 73 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine, which sends power to all four wheels through an eight-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission via the standard Porsche Traction Management (PTM) all-wheel drive system, allows both the Porsche Panamera GTS and Porsche Panamera GTS Sport Turismo models to accelerate from 0 to 60 MPH in 3.9 seconds. The former reaches a top track speed of 181 mph, or 179 mph for the latter.
Externally, the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class was only slightly changed. However, a lot has happened under the tin. A good 50 percent of the vehicle has been renewed or revised. The result are completely new four-cylinder engines and assistance systems on the level of the S-Class. But there is more to discover. My report of the test drive in the C220 d T-model and the AMG C 43 Coupé shows what the new C-Class offers in detail. Source: http://quickcarreview.com
