The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (USCPSC) has recalled candles as fire hazards. According to Gizmodo, the recall is specific to certain candles, not all candles. The USCPSC recalled Dollar Tree’s Sure Scents 2-1 Peaceful Stream/Moonlit Waves Candles. The other candle recalled is Kohl’s three-wick SONOMA candle. Under “hazard,” both read: The candles’ high flames can ignite the surface of the wax or cause the glass to break. Both pose fire and safety risks.
