India Space Agency Hopes To Land On Moon In September

CNN reports that India has its sights set on the moon. The country's space agency projects they will make their first landing on the surface of the Moon in September this year. The country's current lunar mission, Chandrayaan-2 is scheduled to lift off in mid-July. In the past 10 years, the Indian space agency has studied Mars and the Moon with multiple missions into space. The Chandrayaan- 2 will weigh 3.8 tons and carry 13 payloads.
