One railway station in China's Chongqing stops right in the middle of an apartment building, literally, and runs right through the block of flats called 'Mountain City'. The Chongqing Rail Transit No. 2, which could be seen coming and going from the apartment building, passing directly through the middle of a 19 storey residential tower. The residents are able to catch the train without leaving their block, boarding and exiting its carriages from their very own station located between the sixth and eighth floor. The developers decided to place the station inside the building due to lack of space in Chongqing, which houses 49 million people over an area of just 31,000 square miles. Believe it or not, noisy neighbors are still a bigger hassle than the train. Residents have reportedly said that the train is well insulated and only about as noisy as a dishwasher.
