China Remains 'Cautiously Optimistic' On U.S. Trade Talks Despite Tariffs

Description

According to a report by Reuters, Vice Premier Liu He said that China and the United States have agreed to hold more trade talks in Beijing, as US President Donald Trump ordered his trade chief to begin the process of imposing tariffs on all remaining imports from China. Liu reportedly expressed optimism on reaching a deal, but said that 'issues of principle' remain on the table which China would not compromise on.
