Flour Power? Competitors Battle With Eggs and Flour at Massive Spanish Food-Fight

Street performers in the Spanish town of Ibi pelted each other with flour and eggs all the while setting off firecrackers and smokebombs as they took part in the annual Els Enfarinats, one of the largest food fights in the world. The annual festival, which dates back more than 200 years, sees participants dressed in military uniforms stage a mock coup d'etat, throwing eggs, flour and smoke bombs at each other.

‘Battle of Oranges’ Drenches Italian Town in Vitamin C

Thousands of people pelted each other with oranges in the north Italian city of Ivrea on Sunday, as part of the tradition known as the 'Battle of the Oranges'. Teams of 'aranceri' or orange handlers on foot threw oranges at the aranceri riding in carts. The mock rebellion takes place every year.
