Whether they left because they resigned or were fired, the list of former Trump officials who say they'll be voting for Democratic opponent Joe Biden is growing. According to Business Insider, some have joined anti-Trump political coalitions such as The Lincoln Project, Republican Voters Against Trump, and others. Hoping to sway the votes of independent, undecided, and moderate Republicans, they've spent millions on campaign ads to oust Trump from the White House. Former DHS chief of staff Miles Taylor called working under Trump 'terrifying," saying many things Trump wanted the department to do were illegal. Former White House communications director, Anthony Scaramucci, says he'll be voting for Biden. And former national security adviser John Bolton won't be voting for Trump or Biden. Instead, he'll write in the name of a conservative candidate.

Trump's chief complaint with the bill is that it called for the renaming of military bases named after Confederate military figures. The must-pass, $741 billion bill was passed with widespread bipartisan support. According to Business Insider, Bolton told Trump to 'get out of the way,' and said Trump was 'not a conservative.' Following the violent attack on the US Capitol, federal officials launched the most extensive counterterrorism probe since September 11, 2001. Meanwhile, the heads of the Justice Department and the Department of Homeland Security--and the President himself--have remained essentially silent. But according to CNN, the Federal Bureau of Investigation means business. And FBI Director Christopher Wray doesn't mind saying so. Wray says the agency is monitoring 'extensive' online chatter about future protests and warned the men and women who wreaked havoc on the Capitol. (CNN)President-elect Joe Biden is expected to deliver remarks on Monday afternoon after receiving a briefing from members of his national security and foreign policy agency review teams. Biden has vowed to take a markedly different approach to governing than President Donald Trump, particularly when it comes to foreign policy. He has vowed to undo Trump's "America First" isolationist foreign policy and restore the United States' reputation on the world stage. Biden has pledged to rebuild international alliances and has said that global challenges, including the coronavirus pandemic and the climate crisis, require partnerships and international coordination.
On Sunday, Pres. Donald Trump blasted his former national security advisor, John Bolton. Bolton was critical of Trump over a NY Times report saying he was considering martial law to overturn the 2020 election. "What would Bolton, one of the dumbest people in Washington, know?" In the NY Times story fmr. NSA advisor Michael Flynn said Trump should utilize the military to "rerun" the presidential election. Bolton called such an action "appalling."
Christopher Krebs was the head of the US Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. But when he publicly stated the 2020 general election was the most secure in American history, President Donald Trump fired him by tweet. Krebs was pilloried in the conservative media, most notably by conservative news network Newsmax and Trump lawyer Joe diGenova. On national television, diGenova called for Krebs' summary execution, saying Krebs 'should be drawn and quartered,' and 'take out at dawn and shot.' Now, Gizmodo reports turnabout is fair play: Krebs and his lawyers are going after both diGenova and Newsmax. Krebs is suing for defamation after diGenova's comments allegedly lead to death threats against Krebs and his family.
