Four days before a long-awaited decision by the Constitutional Council, a large coalition of opponents of the immigration law demonstrate in Paris with the presence of numerous left-wing politicians, trade-union activists and members of associations. IMAGES
Several hundred people take to the streets in Paris to oppose the immigration law currently being debated at the National Assembly and to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the 1983 march for equality. The demonstration takes place the day after a man known for radical Islam killed a tourist in the Eiffel Tower area. IMAGES
The Law committee at France's National Assembly begins going throught nearly 1,500 amendments to the Immigration bill, some designed to undo the text passed by the Senate, others to make it even tougher.
