Amazon is a giant in e-commerce, and it’s throwing its weight around today. In an email to marketplace sellers, Amazon says it will stop sales of streaming devices from Apple and Google by October 29. They don’t work with Amazon Instant Video. According to the email, the sales ban covers the Apple TV, Chromecast, and Nexus Player. “Over the last three years, Prime Video has become an important part of Prime. It’s important that the streaming media players we sell interact well with Prime Video in order to avoid customer confusion. Roku, XBOX, PlayStation and Fire TV are excellent choices.”
Apple unveiled a new TV set top box that responds to voice commands and fresh iPhones that sense the pressure of a finger tap, changes which underwhelmed many social media commenters and investors. "Wonder Woman 1984" premiered on HBO Max the same day it hit theaters, December 25, 2020. The movie is included with an HBO Max subscription. Business Insider reports it'll only be available through January 24. HBO Max costs $15 a month, though it's included for free with most HBO cable plans.
