Macron the monarch? President's party sweeps first round of legislative elections

Description

FRENCH AND INTERNATIONAL PAPERS - Mon. 12.06.2017 : A "Masterstroke," "The Macron wave," "On the move toward a crushing majority." However they describe it, papers agree that the landslide victory of the president's party is impressive - until one takes into account the 50 percent abstention rate. With "abstention everywhere, opposition nowhere," papers on the left worry that French voters have cleared the way for a total Macron takeover.
