Black smoke seen from miles away billowed over the former Bethlehem steel plant in Lackawanna, New York on Wedneday after a maintenance employee was changing hot light bulbs when one fell on cardboard and started a fire. More than 100 firefighters were rushed to the site, along with several fire trucks and a helicopter, in order to battle the blaze. There have not been any reports of casualties as of yet. Local authorities report that the fire has been contained.
Polish Prime Minister Donal Tusk welcomes his Ukrainian counterpart Denis Shmygal in Warsaw for bilateral talks over farm imports. The first grain ship to sail from Ukraine since Russia reimposed its Black Sea blockade in July crosses the Bosphorus Strait in Istanbul. Ukrainian officials said the Palau-flagged Resilient Africa vessel was carrying 3,000 tonnes of wheat when it left Ukraine's Chornomorsk port on Tuesday.
