Colorado voters headed to the polls today to weigh in on CO Prop 115. The proposition focuses on the prohibition of Late-Term Abortion. According to Business Insider, the ballot referendum would prohibit most abortions at or after 22 weeks of pregnancy. The measure would ban all abortions at 22 weeks of pregnancy except in some cases. The only exception to the proposed law would be if abortion is necessary to save the life of the pregnant person. Colorado is one of six states that does not have a law restricting abortion after a particular date of pregnancy.

Protesters in Warsaw occupy several key roundabouts in the city centre to block traffic and chant anti-government slogans, brandishing the protest symbol -- a red lightning bolt, as thousands of people take to the streets of Poland for a fifth straight day of protests against a constitutional court ruling that would impose a near-total ban on abortion in the EU country. Poland's constitutional court last week ruled in favour of further restrictions, stating that an existing law allowing the abortion of damaged foetuses was "incompatible" with the constitution. The US recorded the highest number of new daily cases yesterday with an additional 83,757 cases. These cases are marking a single day, according to Johns Hopkins University. Experts predict that a third wave of infections this fall and winter could be the deadliest.
The man on the right is Antonio Guterres, the former Prime Minister of Portugal and UN High Commissioner for Refugees, and he is set to replace Ban Ki Moon as the next Secretary General of the United Nations. 66-year-old Guterres worked as UN High Commissioner for Refugees over the past decade and dealt with the worst refugee crisis since the Second World War during his tenure. The official choice will be announced in a formal vote by the Security Council later on Thursday.
