Genesis GV60 in Londion

Description

Genesis sets new standards for interior comfort with its first all-electric model GV60 thanks to specially developed NVH technologies (engl. Noise, Vibration and Harshness) to reduce noise and vibrations.Electric cars offer the advantage of an almost noiseless drive. As a result, however, other noises in the interior gain in importance, in particular tire noise, wind noise and vibrations. The engineers of the Korean premium brand were able to mitigate this phenomenon through the development and extensive testing of NVH technologies and significantly improve the quality of the driving experience for all occupants. This brings interior comfort and quietness to a new level in the GV60.By analyzing wind noise at high speeds on German autobahns, further potential for noise reduction was identified. This includes the aerodynamic optimization of the exterior mirrors and the A-pillar trim to reduce air turbulence and turbulence. The insulation of door and window seals has been improved and the distinctive rear spoiler has been redesigned to optimize airflow and thus reduce wind noise.

  • Genesis GV60 - Crash & Safety Tests - 2022

Genesis Motor Europe can reveal that the GV60 has been awarded a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating.GV60, the brand’s first dedicated electric vehicle, arrived in studios earlier in June 2022 and has now secured the maximum five-star rating from Euro NCAP, Europe’s leading independent safety testing organisation. The news follows similar top scores for G70 and G80 saloon, G70 Shooting Brake, GV70 and GV80 SUV, which means all of Genesis’s European range tested by the Euro NCAP organisation is now five-star rated. As with the other Genesis models, GV60 scored highly against the key Euro NCAP assessment criteria. Notably, in the areas of Adult Occupant, Child Occupant, Vulnerable Road Users and Safety Assist. Notably, the GV60 returned excellent results of 89%, 87% and 88% respectively.During crash testing, Euro NCAP noted the impact stability and protection afforded by the GV60’s passenger compartment during frontal collisions and the side barrier test, scoring strongly in both areas. The all-electric GV60 was also highly rated for child occupant protection, both for those in child seats and older children.
