Ukraine on new war footing, having 'tremendous successes in striking on Russia's military stockpiles'

Description

Kyiv says it has destroyed an arms depot as part of a barrage of rockets and missiles on Russian military targets in the Kherson region in southern Ukraine. Ukrainian military officials say the strikes destroyed artillery, armoured vehicles and a warehouse with ammunition. For more analysis on Ukraine's fierce counter-offensive, FRANCE 24 is joined by Peter Zalmayev, Director of the Eurasian Democracy Initiative. While Russia continues their "slow, grinding assault," Mr. Zalmayev asserts that "the calculation is changing as we speak. Ukrainians have had tremendous successes in striking on Russia's military stockpiles." All the while, Moscow is "running out of manpower to throw at this war." Mr. Zalmayev cites credible Western intelligence sources, explaining that Russia's military, including their high command, "do not have the heart in this fight" and they are growing desperate by the day.
