The United States warns Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo at the UN that they "must walk back from the brink of war" as tensions between the neighbors ratchet up. Bullet holes are visible on fences and signs at the Kasindi border post in eastern DR Congo's Beni territory on the border with Uganda, after two people were killed and several others injured when UN peacekeepers opened fire during an incident. UN chief Antonio Guterres says he is "outraged" about the incident after the UN force MONUSCO admitted that some of its peacekeepers had opened fire "for unexplained reasons", adding that arrests had already been made.
