Extreme performance, true luxury, unrivalled beauty and exceptional craftsmanship – Jacob & Co. and Bugatti share the same standards and values in everything they do. The Twin Turbo Furious 300+ is no exception. After the Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon, the watch maker Jacob & Co. and luxury manufacturer Bugatti together created another masterpiece ready to be presented to the world. As its name suggests, it is inspired by the fastest hypercar ever created – the Chiron Super Sport 300+1.
Bugatti developed a new vehicle design with optimized aerodynamics for the Chiron Super Sport’s streamlined bodywork. The new Chiron Super Sport is an uncompromising reincarnation of the Bugatti design mantra, ‘form follows performance’. From the front splitter to the rear diffuser, every centimeter of its skin is designed for top speed. At speeds over 420 km/h, a vehicle must offer sufficient downforce alongside minimal drag. “Our aim was to give the vehicle a neutral setup at its top speed while also giving it as streamlined a shape as possible.” explains Frank Heyl, Deputy Design Director at Bugatti. The uplift forces exerted on the bodywork at 440 km/h are immense. The body of the Chiron Super Sport generates massive downforce to counter this uplift and perfectly balance the forces. “The design process was therefore in particular about achieving aerodynamic efficiency,” Heyl continues. The Chiron Super Sport’s extended rear, which is known as a long tail, gives it new proportions and very distinctive aesthetics. An optional, new, horizontal color split visually extends the proportions of the Chiron Super Sport even further, making the hyper sports car appear even lower.
Bugatti is excited to be back at the globally renowned Goodwood Festival of Speed. Taking place on the resplendent grounds of Goodwood House near Chichester (West Sussex), the Chiron Pur Sport1 will be driven up the illustrious hill climb, with the all-new Chiron Super Sport2 on static display at the event, as one of its first public appearances. The Bugatti Baby II will also be making a static appearance at the Festival of Speed.
Torque of 1,600 newton-meters, power output of 1,600 PS, and a top speed of 440 km/h – the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport1 is the world’s most powerful and fastest production hyper sports car. It has held the speed record for production vehicles since summer 2019, when it hit a speed of 304.773 mph (490.484 km/h) – a one-of-a-kind in automotive history and a technological masterpiece. To continuously develop and optimize its production vehicles, Bugatti regularly puts them through their paces under extreme conditions. Only an especially high-performance all-wheel single-roller dynamometer will do when it comes to the technical support needed to check their power output and top speeds.
