Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro on Wednesday called on supporters to lift roadblocks set up around the country as part of demonstrations that followed Bolsonaro's narrow loss to leftist Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva in a runoff presidential election. In a video posted on social media, Bolsonaro encouraged supporters to find other ways to protest.
The outgoing president had failed earlier to accept defeat explicitly, after falling silent for nearly two days following Sunday's vote.
