The Ukrainian government was not involved in the sabotage last year of the Nord Stream gas pipelines in the Baltic Sea, the country's defence minister says. "This is not our activity", Defence Minister Oleksiy Reznikov tells reporters in Stockholm ahead of a meeting with EU defence ministers, in response to a report in The New York Times that US officials had seen new intelligence indicating a "pro-Ukrainian group" was responsible for the sabotage. Equipped with inflatable boats, Ukrainian military and police forces evacuate Kherson residents from the flooded areas of the city, following the collapse of Russian-held Kakhovka dam in the Kherson region. Ukraine is evacuating thousands after the dam's destruction unleashed a torrent of water, inundating two dozen villages and the city of Kherson.
