Homemade library builds bookish community in Soweto

Description

When Thami Mazibuko relocated back to Soweto six years ago, he noticed the lack of libraries in the township. So he built one of his own, to uphold what he calls the community's 'basic human right' to literacy. According to the World Bank, South Africa’s adult literacy rate stood at 87% in 2021.
