Conservatives bid to confirm disputed Laschet nomination for Merkel's crown

Angela Merkel's conservatives will look Tuesday to confirm Armin Laschet's disputed nomination as their chancellor candidate in September's election, hoping to draw a line under a bitter battle with his Bavarian challenger that has left the bloc deeply divided.
