Rome Mayor mixes up colosseum, French Nîmes arena in golf ad sparking rage for 'monumental' error

Description

In a promotional video for a major golf tournament, the Mayor of Rome tried to present one of the city’s most famous landmarks - the Colosseum -, but featured instead the Roman arena of Nîmes, in France. The “monumental” error sparked laughter and outrage in Rome, as citizens accused the 5-star movement mayor Virginia Raggi, who is running for re-election, of not knowing her own city.
