Desperate For Workers, Fast Food Chains Offer New Perks

US government data reveals unemployment is hovering near its lowest point in decades, hitting 3.7% in June. As a result, fast-food chains across America are desperately trying to hire and retain workers. According to Business Insider, chains are adding new perks to win and keep their employees. Shake Shack is testing a four-day work week, and Chipotle has a new bonus system. McDonald's has launched a service pairing all restaurant employees with free career and academic advising services. Starbucks is offering subsidized child care for employees with children, and Taco Bell is offering free food!
