US President Joe Biden will announce new air defense weapons for Ukraine during a visit by President Zelensky Friday, the White House says. "President Biden will announce a new package of military assistance today that includes significant air defense capabilities to help Ukraine," National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan says during a briefing. The United States denounces "loose talk" on nuclear weapons after Russian President Vladimir Putin said Moscow would only use an atomic weapon in response to an enemy strike. Declining to respond directly to Putin, State Department spokesman Ned Price told reporters, "We think any loose talk of nuclear weapons is absolutely irresponsible." SOUNDBITE
