The post-Brexit recovery across European markets has stalled with major share indexes mixed and safe-haven demand for precious metals helping the price of silver surge to a near-two year high. But, as Sonia Legg reports, trading volumes were light becasue of the July 4 public holiday in the United States.
Brussels agreed on Wednesday to extend a grace period for the transit of chilled meat between Great Britain and Northern Ireland for three months.
Marta Lomartire, from Puglia, is one of dozens of EU nationals to be detained and deported from UK over visa misunderstandings. She and her UK-based extended family have spoken to Euronews about their ordeal.
