Yemen conflict: 149 killed as UAE-backed troops enter Hodeida residential areas

Description

Close to 150 people have died in just 24 hours of fighting in Yemen. Many civilians were killed as street battles broke out between government loyalists and rebels in the port city of Hodeida. The fighting forced medical staff to flee the city's largest hospital as government troops backed by the Saudi-led coalition took it from Houthi insurgents. Speaking earlier today, the head of the UN said the destruction of the port would be catastrophic.
