A 100 kilowatt engine will generate up to 1,000 horsepower. Loaded with options, the Lucid Air is expected to hit the market sometime in 2018 at a luxury price point of around $100,000.
Are you ready for the future of personal transportation? It may only be a small matter of time before we have the technology that will lift us into the air and allow us to get from point A to point B just like our feathered friends - by flying. This flying Hoverbike, huge quadcopter with a seat for a human passenger, may literally give us the ability to ride like the wind. Loving called the Scorpion 1, the hoverbike was designed Russian company Hoversurf and has been in test trials since this summer. The vehicle is what's known as a 'cargo multi-copter,' capable of both manned and unmanned flights, carrying weights of up to 550 pounds and cruising through the air at a cool 62 mile per hour maximum speed. So far, due to safety measures, it is not permitted to fly higher than three meters above ground. The Scorpion 1 is expected to have a flight time of just over one hour and is available for pre-order starting at $54,000. There is probably no better way to beat the traffic than a hoverbike.
