People have a lot of opinions about other people's body hair, specifically in regards to whether or not it should be there. Choosing whether or not to shave your body hair is a very personal decision. When we see hair in places we don't usually see, on people who identify as women, there can be strong feelings about it. But remember hair is a normal part of being a human, there are many medical conditions that cause hair growth. and ultimately it's not anyone else's business what someone does or doesn't do with their hair. There are some benefits to not shaving though, like better sex, a reduced chance for skin infections, reducing skin irritations, and a more regulated body temperature. Ultimately, you should go with what makes you comfortable.

    Hello friends! This is a quick video about things I love doing on a relaxing/detox night at home. As with all things, what works for me may not work for you. Everyone's body has unique demands, so listen to those demands when creating your own night in! I use Dr. Bronners in Eucalyptus for a body wash. I use Macadamia nut oil as a hair moisturizer and shaving lotion.4. I braid my hair the seal the moisture5. I have hot water with lemon with home made marshmallows.6. I do yoga! Remember to be present during your practice, tune everything else out and focus on your body and mind. It sounds cheesy but it can be so transformational!   • Surgery Benefits Older Patients With Meniscus Tear More Than Observation

    Meniscal root tears, often seen in young athletes, also commonly strike older people with degenerative knee problems. Stanford Medical researchers have recently discovered an arthroscopic surgical technique to help repair these injuries in older adults. According to the research, surgical repair enables patients to avoid the need for more complicated surgeries later. Only 3.3 percent of patients who had the procedure required total knee surgery versus 33.3 percent who received non-surgical therapy. According to UPI, researchers also found significant improvement in all clinical areas in the surgery group at a two-year follow-up.

  • Workers At Burned-Out Philly Refinery To Be Let Go Without Severance Pay, Health Benefits

    Philadelphia Energy Solutions plans to close its refinery permanently after a devastating fire less than a week earlier. According to Reuters, the refinery is the biggest on the East Coast. It employed more than 1,000 people, including more than 600 unionized workers. Most were told their jobs would end by mid July, while others would stay for two weeks beyond that. The workers, both union and non-union, are not expected to get severance packages or health benefits. In the months leading up the closure, however, the company saved cash by laying off a number of salaried employees, all of whom received standard severance packages.

    Pith is the spongy white substance that's between the peel and the fruit in oranges and other citrus fruits. While most people remove as much of the pith as possible before consuming an orange, it actually contains a lot of nutrition. The survey collected biometric data from almost 5,000 adults over 40-years-old, who were outfitted with a device to calculate their daily physical activity and exertion.
