Facebook And Instagram To Crack Down On Underage Accounts

Description

Instagram and Facebook are no longer going to take it easy on their underage users. According to Digital Trends, the social media sites are going to begin to be more proactive about who is using their site and will lock the accounts of users they think are under the required age of 13. Those whose accounts are locked will need to provide proof of age with a government issued ID in order to get control of the account again. Although this may work for Facebook, Digitals Trends states that it may affect Instagram’s ad revenue more since it has a younger demographic .
