Jared Kushner Urges Trump: Let It Go, It's Over

Description

The family of President Donald Trump appears to be split on whether he should publicly concede the presidential election to named winner Joe Biden. CNN reports Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner is urging concession, as is First Lady Melania Trump. However, Trump's two adult sons, Eric and Donald Jr. are loudly exhorting allies to continue pressing on. Moments after CNN and other networks projected Biden's win, Trump tweeted Biden was 'rushing to falsely pose as the winner' and that the race is 'far from over.' A Biden-Harris campaign staffer says there has been no communication between Biden and Trump, or between the campaigns, since the race was called.

  • Trump Unlikely To Pardon His Adult Children

President Donald Trump's final batch of pardons is expected to contain few controversial or outlandish criminals. According to CNN, Trump spent Saturday night huddled in a lengthy meeting with his legal advisers. In it, he was warned that pardoning himself and his family members would put him in legal peril and convey the appearance of guilt. Also, pardoning GOP lawmakers involved in the Capitol insurrection would anger the very Senate Republicans impeaching him. Several of Trump's closest advisers have also urged him not to grant clemency to anyone who breached the US Capitol. White House counsel Pat Cipollone and another attorney who represented Trump in his first impeachment trial, Eric Herschmann, offered the grave warnings. Trump, his daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner listened quietly. Trump may, of course, change his mind.

  • Donald Trump Jr. Passed On Running For Wyoming Senate Seat

Donald Trump Jr. had considered running for an open Senate seat in Wyoming last year--but decided against it. Instead, Business Insider reports the eldest son of President Donald Trump and girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle are looking at real estate in Florida. The eldest son of President Donald Trump has sparred with Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) over his father's foreign policy agenda in the past. But while Wyoming strongly leans Republican, he lacked roots in the Western state, which is also the least populated state in the US. White House advisor Ivanka Trump is thought of as a potential Republican challenger to GOP Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida in 2022. Ivanka Trump and husband Jared Kushner are also house-hunting in Florida, where her father and stepmother plan to relocate shortly.

  • Why Ivanka & Jared Rented A $100K Bathroom

The Washington Post reports that Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner have spent $100,000 on bathroom accommodations. The bathroom was for their Secret Service detail. The power couple rented the bathroom after barring the agents from using their bathrooms. Jared & Ivanka barred the Secret Service from using their 6.5 bathrooms when they first moved into their DC mansion in 2017. In September 2017, the federal government began renting a $3,000-a-month studio apartment across the street for the agents' bathroom needs.

  • See Ya': A Rapidly-Expanding Trump Crew Is Ditching DC For Sunny Fla

Florida, aka The Sunshine State, is known for its sunny, sandy beaches, low taxes, and colorful characters. And as the Trump family has become personam non grata among the Manhattan hoi-polloi, it makes sense that President Donald Trump intends to settle there. Now, Business Insider reports even more members of the Trump clan may be making the state their home after President Donald Trump leaves office. The once-again impeached President and first lady Melania Trump plan to take up residence at Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort. Donald Trump, Jr. and his girlfriend, GOP operative Kimberly Guilfoyle, are house-hunting in Jupiter, Florida--home to Trump Jr.'s ex-wife and children. • Trump Delivers Israeli-Moroccan 'Abraham' Accord--But At What Cost?

Morocco is now the fourth Arab state this year to announce it would establish relations with Israel. According to CNN, it was another diplomatic win for the Trump administration. However, it may create some trouble for the incoming Biden administration. That's because the Trump administration agreed that the US would recognize the long-disputed Western Sahara region. The largely Sahrawi population has fought for self-determination for four decades under the banner of the Polisario Front. The UN and European Union describe Western Sahara as a 'non-self-governing territory.' Political and security risk consultant Geoff Porter says the US' abrupt reversal of its policy dramatically increases the likelihood of renewed regional conflict.
