After been postponed three weeks ago, the trial of eleven people allegedly involved in a Saint Petersburg metro bombing that killed 15 and injured dozens more begins in Russia's second city. A Russian pensioner named Gennadii Valyaev drove his SsangYong Actyon SUV off the streets of Saint Petersburg and down into one of the city’s metro entrances on Wednesday, apparently just to "see if it would fit." A smiling Valyaev cranked up his music to make the most of the acoustics in the underpass while commuters snapped photos of the ridiculous situation. Emergency workers have removed the offending vehicle and the Petersburg Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation.
