A 64-year-old St. Louis woman went for a jog around her neighborhood, and ultimately collapsed on the sidewalk. Surveillance video later revealed a man pulled up in a van, got out, and approached the woman. But rather than being a Good Samaritan and helping the woman as she lay dying, he stole her phone and drove away. The unnamed woman later died in the hospital. According to Newser, authorities say Brian Davenport, 35, was arrested Monday and is charged with felony stealing.
Just when people are getting more comfortable flying during the pandemic, CNN reports a woman died due to COVID-19 while on a flight to Arizona. CNN reports a county official said the Dallas-area woman was in her 30s and had 'underlying high-risk health conditions.' The woman died in late July on the tarmac at a New Mexico airport. The Dallas County HHS first reported her death in the news release Sunday. No other details were made available because of medical privacy reasons.
