Tesla Developing Robotic Charging Tentacle

Description

Elon Musk wants his Tesla cars to exude quality while at the same time being as convenient as the gas-guzzling alternatives. However, when it comes to charging an electric car, things just got a little bit creepy over at Tesla’s R&D department. The geeks working for Musk have been tasked with developing an automatic charging system for Tesla cars. The idea being that you’d drive home or to a charging station, park up, and the charging system would do the rest including hooking the car up through its charge port. In order to do that Tesla needs a way of detecting where the car’s charging port is, and then inserting the cable successfully. The solution? A robotic tentacle.
